Finding Care Should Put Your Family in Control
How we help: explore participating care providers, contact them directly, and learn about optional advisor support where available, free to families and providers at launch.
Choosing care for someone you love means balancing practical needs with deeply personal preferences. You want to understand who will provide the care, what everyday life will look like, what it will cost, and whether the setting feels right. You deserve the information and freedom to explore those questions at your own pace.
Understanding how referral services are paid
Find A Care Partner is built around that freedom: direct access to participating care providers, useful information you can compare, and optional guidance that is free to families and providers at launch.
To understand why that matters, it helps to understand how some senior living referral services make their money.
A service advertised as “free to families” may be paid by a care provider when a referred resident moves in. A 2017 Federal Trade Commission merger complaint described referral fees calculated as a percentage of the first month’s rent and care charges. One published agency fee disclosure includes arrangements reaching that full monthly amount. These are examples of fee structures, not a measure of what every referral service charges today. In these arrangements, the provider pays the referral company rather than billing the family separately for the referral.
Provider-paid compensation creates a financial interest in a referral. Our own advisor service does not work that way at launch: no provider pays us for an introduction, so an introduction earns us nothing. A referral network may cover only part of the local market. With any service, ask how providers are selected, which providers have a paid relationship with it, what other options you can consider, and how it is compensated.

Explore and connect directly
Our approach gives you a way to conduct your own search without entering an advisor relationship.
With a verified Find A Care Partner account, you can view the names, locations, and published direct contact details of participating homes and facilities. You can call the provider’s team, ask to speak with the manager, and arrange a tour at a time that works for your family and the home. You do not have to go through a placement advisor to have that conversation.
We bring the information participating providers share into a consistent format, helping you compare their services, accommodations, and available pricing information. Our listings may not include every provider in your area, and the information available varies by listing. Confirm current services, pricing, and openings directly with each provider. You can explore several options, return to a listing, and prepare questions that reflect what matters to your family.
Exploring listings and contacting providers yourself is free. Those actions alone do not enroll you in advisor support.
You also remain free to discuss terms directly with the provider. Ask about the monthly rate, what is included, additional care charges, deposits, and opportunities for flexibility. Arrange another visit if you need one. Request the proposed terms in writing and take the time you need to understand them.
Optional help, free at launch
Some families want additional help, and we make room for that choice too.
Where advisor support is available, we can help you explore options based on the needs and preferences you share and prepare for visits. We can help you organize written quotes, compare the charges providers describe, and prepare questions about pricing and available options. Providers determine their rates and admission terms, which you discuss directly with them.
At launch, optional advisor help is free. Your family does not pay an advisor fee, and no provider pays us for an introduction. If that ever changes, we will tell you before you proceed.
Advisor availability and services vary by area and care type. We offer assistance only where permitted by law. Before you proceed, we explain the services available to you.
Before making an introduction, we tell you what will be shared with the provider, and we record each introduction, visit and care start. The providers available through advisor support may not include every local option, and any paid arrangement in the future would be explained to you before a referral is made.
Advisor guidance helps you research your choices; it is not a clinical assessment or a guarantee of admission or suitability. Each provider must assess whether it can meet the person's care needs. Involve the person's health professionals when evaluating those needs.
Your family makes the decision
Your family should be able to choose how much help it wants. You can research independently, speak directly with providers, and arrange your own visits—or ask us to help with the parts that feel difficult. Throughout that process, the choice of care remains yours.
